A 12mm (PERRIN THICK-RIM) SIX-SHOT AUTO-EXTRACTING REVOLVER, MODEL 'GALAND & SOMERFIELD PATENT', serial no. 1363,
circa 1870, with octagonal blued 5in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight on the recoil shield, border engraved open frame, border engraved plain stepped cylinder, chequered walnut grips, lanyard ring at heel, the opening mechanism located beneath the barrel with the border engraved hinged lever forming the trigger-guard, the whole retaining much original factory blued finish, Liege proofs
